The short version: your plan is yours.
PathNav stores the planning data you put in, plus a session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't sell or share your data, we don't run ad analytics, and you can export or delete everything any time. The longer version follows.
What we store
Your account email and password hash. We never store your password in plaintext.
The planning data you create: vision, goals, milestones, tasks, habits, projects, briefings, journal-style entries.
Per-user preferences (default view, density, time zone, plan tier).
If you turn on Bring-your-own-keys, we store the AI provider keys you paste in settings — encrypted at rest and only used to make AI requests on your behalf.
What we don't store
We don't store your raw clicks, mouse movements, page-by-page browsing, or anything outside the app.
We don't sell or share your data with advertisers. PathNav has no ads and no third-party analytics SDKs.
We don't read your AI conversations beyond what's needed to deliver the response. Conversations live in your account, not in a global pool.
AI providers we may forward your prompts to
When you use Standard mode, we forward the relevant prompt to our default AI provider (Anthropic) using our keys, on your behalf, within shared rate limits.
When you use Bring-your-own-keys, your request goes directly to the provider you chose with your key. We don't keep a copy of the response in any analytics database.
Each provider has their own privacy policy. Read them before turning on a provider you haven't used before.
Data export + deletion
You can export your full account snapshot as JSON any time from Dashboard → Settings → Export. This is the same data we have on you, in the format we store it.
You can delete your account any time from Settings. Deletion removes your profile, planning data, briefings, and any stored API keys within 30 days.
Cookies + sessions
We use a single signed session cookie to keep you logged in. No tracking pixels, no advertising cookies, no cross-site fingerprinting.
Children
PathNav is not designed for users under 13. Parent-managed accounts (where a parent runs PathNav for their child) require the parent to take legal responsibility for the data they enter.
